Wrist and Hand Rehabilitation Programs

Addressing a wide range of diagnoses, the Wrist and Hand Rehabilitation Programs of HealthWorks are individually designed to meet the wide range of needs within this patient population.

Each patient referred to this program first receives a thorough Initial Examination to objectively document impairments and functional limitations relating to their specific condition. The use of a Digital Inclinometer and Digital Strength gauges allows for accurate measurement of both Range of Motion and Strength – an important segment of the initial examination.

Utilizing the patient’s history and objective data from the examination, an Individual Treatment Plan is developed and implemented, including a Home Program. As appropriate, the treatment plan may include various task-simulating activities to facilitate the individual’s return to full function both at home and at work.

Conditions commonly referred to the Wrist and Hand Therapy Program include, but are not limited to:

  • Wrist/Hand Fractures
  • Wrist/Hand Tendonitis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Post-Surgical Reconstructive Procedures of the Hand
  • Post-Surgical Wrist and Hand Fractures
